Punta Gorda, Florida

Punta Gorda, Florida is a historic waterfront community discovered by the Spanish in the early 1500's. It is a great vacation and tourist destination for fishing, sightseeing and water sports.

Visitors and tourists alike will enjoy the expansive waterfront views of Charlotte Harbor and the Peace River. It is a popular tourist destination for fishing and water activities. Many people travel to this area for the winter as well as to vacation. Fishing charters and sightseeing tours are a popular tourist activity.

Punta Gorda attractions include the historic J. A. Freeman Home, the restored historic downtown district,  and Fisherman's Village for shopping and dining. Gilchrist Park on the river is a popular tourist attraction.
